Will the coat provide full coverage if I measure only to the base of my dog’s tail?

Because your puppy is still only a few months old, we would usually recommend waiting until they are around 9 months old before investing in one of our coats.

At this stage, puppies grow quickly, and their body shape can change a lot too. Even if you were to order a larger size now, there is a good chance it may never fit properly as they develop.

Our coats are designed to be long lasting, high quality pieces, so we would much rather help you choose the correct size when your dog is a little older. This means you get the best possible fit, comfort and value for money.

How do I know what size to get?

Greyt Sweaters provide a variety of clothing for Greyhounds, Whippets, Lurchers and Italian Greyhounds in a selection of the most popular sizes.

To ensure you select the best suited size for your hound please refer to the size guide below. Should you need any assistance please feel free to contact us, we would be more than happy to help.

A- The length from the base of the neck to the START of the tail, it is very important that you do NOT add length to this measurement, we add extra length to our coats and sweaters for good back end coverage. If you over-measure the size you order will be too large!

B- The measurement around the deepest part of the chest.

C- The measurement around the fullest part of the neck.

We recommend using a soft tape measure ensuring you stick to the natural contours of your dogs shape.
